Louisville Man Arrested in Muhlenberg County Drug Trafficking Investigation

GREENVILLE, Ky. (June 24, 2025) — A Louisville man is behind bars following a joint drug trafficking investigation conducted by the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department.
Detective Troy Gibson of the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office, assigned to the task force, arrested 34-year-old Tyler Broy of Louisville after a search revealed a significant quantity of illegal drugs and a stolen firearm
.
Authorities say Broy was found in possession of approximately 28 grams of suspected Carfentanil, 13 grams of suspected heroin, and 45 grams of suspected methamphetamine. He was also found with a stolen Glock handgun
.
Broy faces multiple felony charges, including:
Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Carfentanil)
Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Heroin)
Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (over 2 grams Methamphetamine)
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm)
Officials emphasize the extreme danger posed by Carfentanil, a synthetic opioid estimated to be 100 times more potent than Fentanyl and considered lethal in even minute doses.
The case remains under investigation.
