Lady M’s to Face Hancock, Caldwell in Classic

GREENVILLE – The 5th annual Farmers Bank & Trust Lady Mustangs Classic is coming

up this Friday & Saturday, January 16-17, at Muhlenberg County High School with an

MC boys and girls varsity double-header on tap each night and three additional girls’

varsity matchups set for Saturday afternoon. Friday is also Senior Night for the

Mustangs and Lady Mustangs!


Admission to the Lady Mustangs Classic is free to all Muhlenberg County High School

students and to anyone with a Farmers Bank debit card. Just present your student ID

or debit card at the gate each day.


“Farmers Bank & Trust is proud to assist Coach (Ryan) Groves and the Lady Mustangs

program with another fantastic event for basketball fans throughout the area,” said Dean

Rowe, Muhlenberg County President of Farmers Bank & Trust. “You can catch both of

our Muhlenberg varsity teams in action both nights and enjoy three other great inter-

region matchups beginning at 12 noon on Saturday afternoon.”


Friday night (Jan. 16) kicks off with a double-header when the Muhlenberg County Lady

Mustangs square off with the Caldwell County Lady Tigers at 6 p.m. The nightcap also

features the Mustangs against Caldwell County with tip-off is set for around 7:45 p.m.

Senior Night festivities will be held for both MC teams on Friday night.



The action on Saturday (Jan. 17) starts at 12 noon with a 3rd Region battle between

McLean County and Edmonson County. Next, at 1:45 p.m., it’s a matchup featuring

Ohio County and Paducah St. Mary’s – followed at 3:30 p.m. by Daviess County

squaring off with 1st Region foe Graves County.


The Lady M’s Classic is capped off with another GV/BV double-header as the Lady

Mustangs face Caldwell County at 5:15 p.m. followed by the Mustangs and Tigers at 7

p.m.


“We appreciate Farmers Bank & Trust and all of our other sponsors for helping make

the Lady Mustangs Classic happen each year,” said MCHS head coach Ryan Groves.

“This is a fantastic event to host and our girls look forward to competing against

Hancock County and Caldwell County as we work to improve game-by-game.”
