MADISONVILLE, KY – Public school districts from Caldwell, Crittenden, Dawson Springs, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, and Webster counties joined with Madisonville Community College and Murray State University-Madisonville to honor 19 teachers during the third annual Regional Education Partnership Excellence in Teaching Awards. These awards celebrate outstanding classroom teachers.

Dr. Jay Parrent, vice president of Madisonville Community College, shared his excitement about hosting the event again. “It was a privilege to host these amazing educators and their families. I’m thankful for our partnerships with the local school districts that made this possible. Great things are happening in our public schools, and it all starts with great teachers.”

The award recognizes elementary, middle, and high school teachers who show excellence in their work. It was created to highlight the importance of teaching and to support innovation and continued success in education.

This year’s Muhlenberg County honorees were Skylar McCarraher – Muhlenberg South Elementary, Kecia Blake – Muhlenberg County Middle School, and Paula Rager – Muhlenberg County High School.
