Pennyrile Habitat for Humanity Announces New Home Build in MuhlenbergCounty Through Collaborative Community Partnership

Muhlenberg County, KY — Pennyrile Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce a new

home build in Muhlenberg County made possible through a collaborative partnership with the

Felix E. Martin Jr. Foundation, Muhlenberg Economic Growth Alliance (MEGA), and the

Muhlenberg Housing Coalition.


Construction on the home will begin on April 13, 2026, marking the start of a community-driven

project focused on creating safe, affordable housing for a local family.


The Felix E. Martin Jr. Foundation has awarded $50,000 toward the project, providing a vital

foundation for construction. Alyssa Manning, President of the Felix E. Martin Jr. Foundation:

  “The Foundation is thrilled to play a part in welcoming Habitat for Humanity to Muhlenberg

County.  Bringing a partner with a proven model for home ownership to the County is an

exciting step forward in efforts to develop much-needed local housing opportunities. “



Pennyrile Habitat is seeking additional funders, donors, and community partners to help fully

finance the home and ensure long-term affordability for the homebuyer.


“This project reflects the power of partnership,” said Heath Duncan, Executive Director for

Pennyrile Habitat for Humanity. “We are honored to work alongside organizations deeply

committed to strengthening the Muhlenberg County community. Together, we are building not

just a home but stability, opportunity, and hope.”


Pennyrile Habitat invites businesses, civic groups, churches, and individuals to join in supporting the project through financial contributions, volunteerism, or sponsorship opportunities.
