Raymer Secures Over $360K in Infrastructure Funding for Muhlenberg County

Frankfort, KY — Representative Rebecca Raymer of Morgantown announced this week that Muhlenberg County will receive $360,760 in state funding to support critical infrastructure improvements.

The funds, approved through legislation passed by both the Kentucky House and Senate, will go toward much-needed road resurfacing projects in the county. The breakdown includes:

  • $320,760 to the Muhlenberg County Fiscal Court for the resurfacing of Friendship Road

  • $40,000 to the City of Central City for resurfacing Park Street

“I am very pleased to see this funding come to Muhlenberg County as a direct result of the efforts and hard work done by the legislature,” said Rep. Raymer. “Industry follows infrastructure, and I believe that with these improvements to our roadways, we will be bringing in a time of growth for our community.”

The funding is part of House Joint Resolution 46 (HJR 46), which outlines infrastructure projects that will receive state funding in the upcoming fiscal year. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Department of Rural and Municipal Roads collected applications from local officials across the state, grading them on urgency and safety. Only projects receiving the highest rating—those ranked a ten in severity—were eligible for funding under HJR 46.

In total, the resolution funds 145 projects across Kentucky, amounting to more than $23.8 million in infrastructure investment.
