Central City, KY – A routine welfare check in Central City on March 8, 2025, resulted in the arrest of a local man on multiple drug charges.
According to the Central City Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence on West Fourth Avenue to check on a male subject. Upon arrival, officers found the front door open and a man lying at the entrance. Emergency responders from the Central City Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS were called to assess the individual, later identified as Dwight Hendricks. However, Hendricks refused medical treatment and transport.

During the encounter, officers discovered that Hendricks had outstanding warrants. A subsequent search conducted by Officer Melton revealed a pill bottle in his possession containing suspected methamphetamine, M30 fentanyl pills, and suboxone.
Hendricks was taken into custody and transported to the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. He now faces multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), and possession of a controlled substance (suboxone).
